The Anti-Defamation League Southwest Region (“ADL”) honored Jackson Walker partner Chip Babcock with the esteemed 2018 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award on February 22, 2018.
Since 1987, the ADL has presented the award, named after a former chair of the ADL regional board, to an exceptional member of the legal community who demonstrates commitment to equality, justice, fairness, and community service. The Southwest Regional office of the ADL serves to fight hate, encourage diversity in schools, and inspire respect and inclusion in all areas of the community.
Charles L. Babcock is a First Amendment, commercial, and intellectual property trial and appellate attorney with over 30 years of experience. Over the course of his career, Chip has represented prominent individuals such as Warren Buffet, Oprah Winfrey, and Dr. Phil McGraw. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates, Litigation Counsel of America, and The Center for American and International Law. Chip has received numerous awards, including the prestigious Ronald D. Secrest Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award, which recognizes trial lawyers who demonstrate high ethical and moral standards.
