Biography
Gabriela Barake is an attorney in the Labor & Employment and Trial & Appellate Litigation sections of Jackson Walker’s Houston office. She offers experience in the areas of employment disputes, fiduciary litigation, probate and trust administration, and general business litigation.
Gabriela’s practice concentrates on the representation of individuals and companies in employment disputes and commercial litigation in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. She handles claims brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act and the Age Discrimination in Employment Act. She has also represented clients in mediations, workplace investigations, unemployment and wage claim hearings before the Texas Workforce Commission, and collective action trials.
Gabriela also represents trustees, administrators, guardians, and executors in probate, trust, and guardianship matters. She is passionate about helping individuals who suffer from dementia, mental illness, physical and mental limitations, and other disabilities, and makes it a priority to ensure they have a guardian to protect their needs.
