Meet the Speakers
G. Scott Fiddler is board certified in both labor & employment law and civil trial law, placing him among only approximately 25 attorneys in Texas board certified in both specialties. As lead trial attorney, Scott has tried nearly 60 cases, including 40 jury trials and nearly 20 arbitrations and bench trials. Scottâs resume is one of impressive wins in jury trials and published cases.
Gabriela M. Barake is an attorney in the Labor & Employment and Trial & Appellate Litigation sections of Jackson Walkerâs Houston office. She offers experience in the areas of employment disputes, fiduciary litigation, probate and trust administration, and general business litigation.
Richard G. âRickâ Garzaâs practice focuses on representing employers in all aspects of employment-related matters, including formulating and drafting of employment contracts and policies and representing employers in administrative/investigation proceedings, state and federal trial and appellate courts.
Alicia R. Duleba is an employment attorney and litigator who takes pride in working with companies to achieve their goals with respect to employment matters. From counseling on human resources issues to defending complex employment litigation claims, she has experience helping businesses in a variety of industries comply with rules, regulations and statutes impacting the employment relationship.
Dawn S. Holiday is an experienced litigation attorney representing clients in a wide variety of labor and employment matters. Dawn is no stranger to the courtroom and she primarily represents employers in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and administrative proceedings in various jurisdictions.
Jackie C. Staple is an attorney in the Labor & Employment section of Jackson Walkerâs Houston office. She focuses on advising and counseling companies on employment law compliance and handling labor and employment transactional matters. Jackie has depth of experience drafting various employment, separation and release, and restrictive covenant agreements, as well as conducting due diligence of employment considerations in equity and asset transactions as a member of mergers and acquisitions deal teams.
Michael A. Drab is an attorney in the Labor & Employment section of Jackson Walkerâs Houston office. His practice focuses on resolving disputes for employers and businesses.

Sang M. Shin provides creative legal counsel to companies, individuals, investors, and institutions throughout the U.S. and internationally. He has broad experience managing employment-based immigration cases for nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, and immigration planning and compliance programs for entities engaged in a wide range of industries.
Jamila M. Brinson is a labor and employment and litigation attorney who partners with employers and management to proactively shape their workplaces and resolve issues when they arise. She also serves as Chair of Jackson Walkerâs Diversity & Inclusion Counseling practice.
Fernanda Anzek is the managing director of HR operations at Insperity. She has more than 15 years of business leadership experience with businesses of all sizes. In that time, she’s become adept in customer service, succession planning, recruiting, employee relations, mediation, training and development, and performance management.
