Biography
John Stevenson handles real estate transactions in Texas and across the United States, with an emphasis on real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
John represents various clients, including residential and commercial developers, home builders, institutional investors, family offices, and publicly traded companies, across multiple asset classes and property types, including multifamily and built-to-rent, farm and ranch, mixed-use and master planned communities, data centers, warehouse facilities and other industrial properties. Additionally, John has extensive experience representing both limited partners and sponsors in real estate joint venture matters, ranging from single asset investments to the formation and representation of joint ventures engaged in property portfolio acquisitions and dispositions.
As part of his practice, John represents landlords and tenants in retail, office and ground lease transactions. He routinely prepares and negotiates partnership and LLC agreements for investment and asset protection purposes and advises clients regarding entity formation, investment, and structuring. He uses his experience to thoughtfully and practically guide clients in complex transactions as well as day-to-day corporate real estate matters and is adept at identifying deal-specific risks.
