Biography
John Stevenson handles real estate transactions in Texas and across the United States, with an emphasis on real estate development, acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
As a dirt lawyer, John represents various clients, including residential and commercial developers, home builders, institutional investors, family offices, and publicly traded companies, across multiple asset classes and property types, including multifamily and built-to-rent, farm and ranch, mixed-use and master planned communities, data centers, warehouse facilities and other industrial properties. As part of his practice, John represents landlords and tenants in retail, office, and ground lease transactions.
Additionally, John has extensive experience representing both limited partners and sponsors in real estate joint venture matters, ranging from single asset investments to multi-property portfolio acquisitions and dispositions. He routinely prepares and negotiates partnership and LLC agreements for real estate investment and asset protection purposes and advises clients regarding entity formation and structuring. He uses his experience to thoughtfully and practically guide clients in complex transactions as well as day-to-day corporate real estate matters.
