Biography
Daniel Maldonado is an attorney in the Corporate & Securities practice of Jackson Walkerâs San Antonio office. His practice primarily focuses on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, securities matters, and corporate governance, with an emphasis on the development, acquisition, and divestiture of projects and assets across the energy sector, including upstream, midstream, services, and renewable industries.
Daniel represents private equity sponsors, independent producers, and midstream operators in acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures across the energy value chain. He negotiates and supports purchase and sale transactions involving upstream and midstream assets. He advises on related marketing, financing, confidentiality, escrow, due diligence, and postâclosing transition matters. Daniel also assists with the negotiation of complex petroleum industry agreements, including participation and joint venture agreements, joint operating agreements (JOAs), master service agreements (MSAs), drilling and services contracts, gathering and production sales agreements, oil and gas leases, surface use agreements, and other custom contracts and conveyances.
Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Daniel served as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. Before attending law school, he served as a member of the U.S. Armyâs 75th Ranger Regiment
