Jackson Walker partner Art Cavazos, Jr. has been selected as a member of the 48th Class of Leadership San Antonio (LSA). Established in 1975 by the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, LSA boasts a history of graduating nearly 2,000 participants. The program identifies individuals exhibiting leadership potential who actively contribute to community organizations supporting the growth and development of San Antonio. Widely recognized as the premier program for both existing and emerging leaders in Bexar County and its surrounding areas, LSA gained additional strength in 1992 when the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber joined as a co-host, enriching the program’s diversity and engagement.
Regarding his selection to the program, Art noted, “I am honored to be selected as a member of the 48th Class of Leadership San Antonio. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our vibrant community.”

LSA 48 launched with a Welcome Reception hosted at Jackson Walker’s new San Antonio office space on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Spanning until October 2024, the program is focused on service and invites the 56-member class to participate in monthly meetings with Chamber Board members, attend special events, and Council and Committee meetings. Additionally, the class is divided into groups tasked with planning educational events throughout the year, covering various topics related to San Antonio. By engaging in these gatherings and organizing their own initiatives, members gain firsthand experience of the influential role participation plays in politics, business, and philanthropy.

Meet ArtArt Cavazos is a finance and corporate attorney focused on complex financial transactions and other transactional matters, including entity formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, financial derivatives, securities transactions, and general contracting. In 2022, Art launched Jackson Walker’s Future-Ready Business Podcast, covering emerging topics in business, law, and technology that are quickly affecting everyone. Art has been recognized as a “One to Watch” in the areas of Banking and Finance Law and Corporate Law by Best Lawyers and “The Next Generation” in the areas of Corporate and Finance by Lawdragon 500 X in their 2023 editions.
