Jackson Walker Elects Four New Partners

The partners of Jackson Walker L.L.P., one of Texas’ oldest law firms, elected four new partners to the firm this week. Kevin T. Crocker, Janie E. James and Katherine A. Staton work in the Dallas office and William R. Jenkins, Jr. in Jackson Walker’s Fort Worth office.

T. Michael Wilson, managing partner of Jackson Walker, says, “All four of these attorneys are most deserving of partnership in Jackson Walker. We are grateful to them for the contributions each has made to Jackson Walker and our clients.”

Kevin T. Crocker practices in the Litigation section of Jackson Walker. Mr. Crocker’s practice focuses on insurance defense, commercial, and class action litigation. Mr. Crocker’s practice also includes worker’s compensation, wrongful termination, and other employment-related litigation. Mr. Crocker is admitted to and has successfully argued cases before the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals of Texas. Mr. Crocker received his J.D. degree from St. Mary’s University. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Crocker clerked for the Honorable John McBryde, United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Texas.

Janie E. James practices in the Corporate section of Jackson Walker. Ms. James’s practice focuses on public and private offerings of securities, as well as acquisitions, mergers, reorganizations, and venture capital transactions. Ms. James received her J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University where she was a member of the SMU Law Review.

Katherine A. Staton works in the Litigation and Aviation sections of Jackson Walker. Ms. Staton’s focus in aviation law has allowed her to work on numerous air disaster cases, including crashes involving major air carriers, general aviation aircraft, military accidents and air traffic control cases. She is renowned for her work in Latin American accidents although her practice has also involved crashes in Scandinavia, Europe and Africa. Ms. Staton received her J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University. During her tenure, she was an editor of the Journal of Air Law & Commerce.

William R. Jenkins, Jr. works in the Litigation section of Jackson Walker. Mr. Jenkins represents clients on a wide range of commercial and products liability matters including cases involving the transportation, construction, environmental, and real estate industries. Mr. Jenkins received his J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University and is admitted to practice before all federal and state courts in Texas. Mr. Jenkins was also a member of the Eldon B. Mahon Inn of Court.
