On behalf of Packers Plus Energy Services Inc., Jackson Walker partners Kathrine M. Silver, Courtney T. Carlson, and Wasif Qureshi obtained a complete defense verdict in a weeklong jury trial in the 281st Harris County District Civil Court. The case was brought by Layer2 Communications Inc., alleging breach of a technology services contract. Prior to trial, Jackson Walker obtained summary judgment excluding a significant portion of the plaintiff’s claimed damages. At trial, the plaintiff sought its remaining alleged damages and fees of nearly $1 million, stemming from a three-year dispute over the alleged breach of contract.

Tracey Beaudoin, General Counsel for Packers Plus, commended the Jackson Walker team as a “great combination of not only experience and wisdom, but stamina and true grit – served up with a side of Texas charm.” She further expressed her “pleasure to see true teamwork in action.”
