Jackson Walker represented Austin Wood Recycling (AWR) in its acquisition of Fort Worth-based Thelin Recycling Company, which has provided services in mobile contract grinding, delivery, and green waste recycling for nearly 25 years.
With this acquisition, AWR becomes the nation’s largest mobile contract grinding and recycling service, offering services including site clearing, contract grinding, and hauling, and providing landscape products sold throughout Texas and many parts of the country.
Established in 1987, AWR manufactures the Texas Native mulches and soils lines available at the largest home improvement retailers and through thousands of landscapers.
In addition to expanding its services and products, the acquisition gives AWR three major recycling facilities and positions the company for future growth.
The Jackson Walker team was led by Brandon C. Janes and Carlos R. Treviño and included Michael A. Flatter, Ronald D. Kerridge, Meredith Silliman, Ali Abazari, Steven R. Martens, and Michelle Moore Smith.
