Biography
Diana Pérez Gomez is a distinguished trial attorney and partner in the Labor & Employment practice, where she represents businesses in complex employment disputes. With extensive experience in state and federal courts, Diana provides a full spectrum of legal services, including pre-termination counseling, internal investigations, EEO training, policy drafting, and employment agreement negotiations. She also defends clients in administrative proceedings such as EEOC charges and unemployment hearings and has successfully litigated cases involving non-competes, discrimination, retaliation, FLSA, and ERISA claims.
In addition to litigation, Diana provides strategic counsel to employers on best practices for minimizing legal risks while maintaining compliance with federal and state employment laws. She regularly advises on employee policies, agreements, and workplace training to help businesses proactively address any labor and employment challenges.
Diana is actively involved in shaping legal policy at the state level as a Board Member of the State Bar of Texas and a Commissioner on the Texas Access to Justice Commission, working to enhance access to legal services across the state.
Diana made history as the first Latina president of the Houston Bar Association, a prestigious organization with over 11,000 members, and has received numerous accolades, including Texas A&M University’s Bush School of Government & Public Service, Outstanding Alumni Award, 2024, Trailblazer of the Year Award by the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, and recognition as one of Houston’s 50 Most Influential Women. She has been consistently named to the Texas Super Lawyers list and as a Best Lawyer in America for Labor Law-Management. She has earned honors such as the Woodrow B. Seals Outstanding Young Lawyer of Houston Award and the President’s Award from both the Houston Bar Association and the Hispanic Bar Association.
