Biography
As a member of one of the largest commercial real estate practices in Texas, John Stevenson handles real estate transactions both locally and across the United States, with an emphasis on lot and land development, acquisitions, dispositions, and general corporate real estate matters.
His client base includes residential and commercial developers, home builders, family offices, publicly traded companies, and institutional investors, on transactions involving farm and ranchland, multifamily and build-to-rent projects, master planned communities and residential subdivisions, office buildings, data centers, and other industrial properties. He frequently advises individual owners of raw and improved land in sales to land developers. His work also includes the representation of landlords and tenants in retail, office, and ground lease negotiations, as well as lenders and borrowers in real estate financing matters, typically seller financed deals.
John also regularly advises both sponsors and limited partners in real estate joint ventures, from single-asset investments to multi-property portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, and counsels clients on entity formation and structuring, including preparation and negotiation of LLC and partnership agreements tailored to investment goals and asset protection strategies,.
