Biography

Victoria Argeroplos is an associate in Jackson Walker’s Houston office with a practice focused on bankruptcy, restructuring, and the resolution of related disputes, and business litigation. Victoria has experience guiding secured and unsecured creditors through bankruptcy proceedings, as well as litigating against borrowers, guarantors, and commercial tenants in federal and state courts. Victoria has also represented a variety of business entities in resolution of commercial litigation outside of a bankruptcy context.

Victoria’s litigation experience includes serving as second-chair in a trial of an adversary proceeding, giving opening statements, cross-examining witnesses, and arguing hearings on discovery matters. She is well-versed in taking Rule 2004 Examinations and depositions, and regularly drafts and argues motions for summary judgment and motions to dismiss under Rule 12. Victoria has represented a range of clients, including freight forwarders, contractors, commercial landlords, real estate investment trusts, loan servicers, homeowners, business partners, and financial institutions, in various commercial contract disputes.

Prior to joining Jackson Walker, Victoria served as a judicial intern to the Hon. John Schmude of the Harris County 247th Family District Court. Victoria also completed the University of Houston Mediation Clinic, where she gained dispute resolution experience observing and conducting eleven volunteer mediations through the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center. Victoria was previously an associate at a Houston-based law firm where she developed her practice in business litigation, real estate matters, and bankruptcy.

Victoria has bachelors’ degrees in Mathematics and Philosophy. Before attending law school, Victoria taught Algebra I and II in Spring Branch ISD.
