Meet Our Recognized Attorneys

	Chevazz G. Brown is a dispute resolution lawyer with experience resolving a broad range of business and commercial disputes. Chevazz typically handles disputes involving breach of contract; breach of fiduciary duty, negligence, fraud, and other torts; oil and gas and other energy industries; CERCLA (Superfund) contribution claims; real estate (land owners, developers, and managers); employment; insurance coverage; investor; professional and amateur athletes; and more. Prior to Jackson Walker, Chevazz served as law clerk to the Honorable Kenneth M. Hoyt of the Southern District of Texas – Houston Division, where he gained intimate knowledge of court procedure and valuable intangibles.
	Matthew D. Cavenaugh focuses his practice on complex business bankruptcy litigation and out-of-court workouts. A seasoned actor and former judicial law clerk, Matt understands the importance of communicating complex legal arguments with clarity and conviction – both in and out of court. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Matt was one of the leading Jackson Walker bankruptcy attorneys whose name was on a majority cases brought before the Southern District of Texas – Houston Division, including the headline-grabbing bankruptcy cases involving Frontera Holdings, Technicolor S.A., McDermott International, and Belk, Inc.—which set a national record for the fastest-ever prepackaged case from filing to emergence.
	Carey L. Hain assists clients with complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, development and commercial leasing. Carey represents owners of office buildings, large mixed-use projects, multi-family developments and property undergoing varying stages of development, from initial development of raw land to redevelopment of under-utilized areas or existing assets. She also regularly represents borrowers and lenders in commercial financing transactions.
	Lindsey C. Moorhead is an environmental attorney who represents clients participating in site cleanup and remediation projects, including cost recovery and contribution actions, regulatory enforcement actions, and representation of potentially responsible parties (PRP). Lindsey has negotiated consent decrees and administrative settlement agreements on behalf of PRPs with the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Justice and defended governmental enforcement actions and claims involving natural resource damage, personal injury and property damage, and cost-recovery and indemnification.
	Sang M. Shin is a business immigration attorney with broad experience managing immigration matters for companies, individuals, investors and institutions through the U.S. and internationally. Sang handles a wide range of nonimmigrant visas and petitions, and also provides advanced and strategic advice to clients on a variety of immigrant visas and labor certification (PERM). He handles family-based cases and U.S. citizenship matters, and regularly represents companies in connection with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), U.S. Department of State (DOS), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) audits.
