Emilio Nicolas to Present at the 35th Annual Entertainment Law Institute

Jackson Walker partner Emilio B. Nicolas will be a featured speaker at the 35th Annual Entertainment Law Institute (ELI), an event co-sponsored by The University of Texas School of Law and the Entertainment and Sports Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.

Emilio will co-present a session titled “Minimizing Litigation Pitfalls When Negotiating Entertainment Contracts.” The session will offer practical strategies for reducing the risk of disputes when drafting and interpreting entertainment industry agreements.

Emilio’s presentation is scheduled for September 10 as part of Entertainment Law 101, a program designed to provide a comprehensive overview for newcomers to the field as well as a valuable refresher for experienced practitioners. Attendees will gain essential knowledge for entertainment and sports attorneys, including practical guidance on trademark filings, contract drafting, and avoiding common litigation pitfalls.

The ELI conference brings together leading practitioners and industry experts from across the country to discuss the latest trends, issues, and developments in music, film, gaming, and digital media law.
