Sang Shin, Shari Mao, and Jeremy ShengJackson Walker partners Sang Shin, Shari Mao, and Jeremy Sheng will present “Surviving an Unpredictable Economy: Legal Considerations You Can’t Afford to Ignore” at the 2022 Asian Chamber Business Conference & Expo on Friday, August 26, 2022. The two-day conference will be held at the Marriott Westchase Hotel in Houston, Texas.

During the presentation, Sang, Shari, and Jeremy will cover future legal issues facing companies of all sizes, from startups to multinational corporations. They will also explore trends in corporate structuring, joint ventures, employment and talent pipelines, and the legal measures companies are taking to ensure their financial stability in a volatile economic landscape.

Sang M. Shin is a business immigration attorney with broad experience managing immigration matters for companies, individuals, investors and institutions through the U.S. and internationally. Sang handles a wide range of nonimmigrant visas and petitions, and also provides advanced and strategic advice to clients on a variety of immigrant visas and labor certification (PERM). He handles family-based cases and U.S. citizenship matters, and regularly represents companies in connection with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), U.S. Department of State (DOS), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification) audits.

Shari Y. Mao represents entrepreneurs, privately held clients, and governmental agencies in a variety of corporate matters. As one of the only Mandarin-speaking attorneys in San Antonio, Shari regularly serves as counsel in mergers and acquisitions, business formation and corporate structuring, restructuring, financing options and succession planning and consult her clients on inbound cross-border transactions, specifically from Asia. Prior to law school, Shari was vice president of a flooring company, where she managed the North American operations and collaborated with factories in China and Taiwan.
