Jeff Drummond and Alden Crow Advise Pathologists Bio-Medical Laboratories in Sale to PathGroup

May 16, 2019 | Client Results

Jackson Walker represented Pathologists Bio-Medical Laboratories (PBM) in the sale of its business to PathGroup, one of the nation’s largest private providers of pathology, clinical, and molecular laboratory services. The deal closed on May 1, 2019.

The combination of Nashville-based PathGroup and PBM will result in enhanced services and a broader menu of testing across their client base. The combined company will include more than 120 pathologists, representing every sub-specialty, creating one of the most comprehensive pathology networks in the country.

Based in Dallas, Pathologists Bio-Medical Laboratories is a physician-owned, independent pathology laboratory that provides technical, professional, consultative, and managerial services in pathology. The company serves the Baylor Healthcare System in Dallas, Garland, Grapevine, Plano, and Waxahachie, and also provides services to multiple surgical centers throughout North Texas and in various physician offices.

Representing PBM in the merger was a Jackson Walker team led by Jeffery P. Drummond and Alden S. Crow, with assistance from Ronald D. Kerridge, Chuck Campbell, David Schlottman, Joseph T. Guajardo, Ryan K. Holm, Alyca Riley, and Greta E. Cowart.
