Jennifer Freel Joins Jackson Walker’s White Collar Defense & Government Enforcement Team in Austin

Jackson Walker is pleased to announce Jennifer S. Freel has joined the White Collar Defense & Government Enforcement group as a partner in Austin. A former federal prosecutor, Jennifer advises businesses and individuals under investigation by the government and conducts internal investigations for companies seeking an independent party. She also represents clients in civil disputes at the pre-trial, trial, and appellate levels in state and federal court.

Her time as a federal prosecutor and her extensive courtroom experience make her a fantastic addition to our team.”

Jennifer FreelFor more than nine years, Jennifer served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Austin Division of the Western District of Texas. She has argued more than twenty times before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Jennifer was ranked in Texas for 2021 in the area of White-Collar Crime & Government Investigations by Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. She also has been recognized for 2022 by The Best Lawyers in America in the area of Criminal Defense: White Collar in Austin.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Journalism degree, with high honors, from the University of Missouri, and her J.D., with high honors, from the George Washington University Law School. At GW Law, she was editor-in-chief of The George Washington Law Review.
