Biography
Anais Stevens is an attorney in the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation and Labor and Employment practice areas of Jackson Walker’s Austin office.
In her role, Anais has aided Texas public pension plan clients with benefits and governance matters, including reviewing powers of attorney and qualified domestic relations orders, preparing disability retirement policies, and responding to public information act requests. Anais has also assisted public pension plan clients with legislative drafting as well as various fiduciary, ethics, and investment matters.
In her work with private clients, Anais has drafted incentive compensation plans, reviewed employment and severance agreements for compensation and 409A issues, and aided Jackson Walker’s corporate team by analyzing benefit plan documents and identifying ACA compliance and 401(k) plan issues in connection with corporate transactions. She has also performed controlled group analyses and aided clients with 401(k) plan corrections.
In addition, Anais has assisted clients with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission claims in connection with Employment Practices Liability Insurance.
While in law school, Anais was a summer associate at Jackson Walker in 2020 and 2021. Before law school, Anais served as a congressional aide for U.S. Congressman Lloyd Doggett’s District Office.
