Biography
Mario Perez Dolan is a corporate partner in Jackson Walker’s Dallas office whose practice focuses on M&A and joint ventures in capital-intensive, hard-asset industries: energy and infrastructure, digital infrastructure and data centers, and industrial and manufacturing. His clients include family offices, private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, and founder-led businesses.
Energy and Infrastructure. Much of Mario’s career has been spent on energy transactions, from oilfield services and water and waste infrastructure to midstream, power, and battery storage. That work spans platform acquisitions, add-ons, equity commitments for management teams, and exits, for clients ranging from public energy services companies to family-owned operators.
Digital Infrastructure and Data Centers. Mario brings that energy background to data center and digital infrastructure work, where site control, power, and capital have to come together in the same transaction. He handles powered land acquisitions, data center joint ventures, and on-site power arrangements alongside Jackson Walker’s energy regulatory and real estate teams.
Industrial and Manufacturing. On the industrial side, Mario works with family offices and private equity sponsors on platform and add-on acquisitions of manufacturers, equipment companies, and industrial services businesses, as well as with founder-owners selling to private equity. He has extensive experience in structuring and executing transactions involving rollover equity, earnouts, incentive compensation, and post-closing employment and transition arrangements.
Clients rely on Mario as a member of the deal team. He is practical about risk, direct in seeking commercial resolutions, and focused on transaction execution. That approach has built long-term relationships with family offices, sponsors, management teams, and founders who continue to seek his counsel.
Mario also serves on the Emerging Technology Committee at Jackson Walker, helping lead the Firm’s adoption and implementation of AI tools and processes.
