Biography

Michelle Miller is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in Labor & Employment Law and is an experienced litigator. A graduate of the prestigious advocacy program at South Texas College of Law, and a former Harris County prosecutor, Michelle has approximately 40 first chair jury trials and has participated in over 100 trials.

Michelle’s experience includes representation of clients in non-compete and trade secret litigation, FLSA collection actions, wrongful termination litigation, and actions before the Texas Workforce Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She also counsels and represents clients in matters pertaining to covenants not to compete, confidentiality agreements, severance agreements, the FLSA, FMLA, USERRA, OSHA, ADA, WARN, ADEA, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, among others.

Michelle regularly advises and represents employers with regard to layoffs, furloughs, terminations, employee agreements, severance agreements, discrimination investigations, and diversity and inclusion training. She excels at advising employers on how to maintain corporate integrity and create an environment that is safe and positive for employees while reducing risk for the company.

Michelle’s clients, both large and small, come from a wide range of industries, including oil and gas, physician practices, construction, shipping, hospitals, funeral services, insurance, financial institutions, manufacturing, and many more.
