Biography
Shayan Gaziani is an attorney in the Corporate & Securities section of Jackson Walker’s Dallas office. The group assists clients in various corporate transactions, including merger and acquisition transactions, startup counseling, conducting public and private offerings, and serving as outside general counsel for hundreds of companies.
He also works closely with his colleagues in the Entertainment, Digital & Sports Group. He often handles matters focused on transactional entertainment law. Some of his entertainment clients include influencers, creative entrepreneurs, and fashion designers.
Shayan started at Jackson Walker as a summer associate. During his clerkship, he engaged in a cross-disciplinary practice, working on matters from the Corporate & Securities, Finance & Banking, and Real Estate sections. Some of his more notable projects included assisting in an approximately $40 million securities transaction and, in an issue of first impression under Texas law, performing statutory analysis for a commercial aerospace company to help determine tax liability for its space tourism sector.
Shayan is passionate about bringing positive change to underrepresented communities through the intersection of law and government. In 2016, he co-founded .NGO, a financial tech startup that helps nonprofits manage donations, donors, and funds easily and centrally. He served as Chief Operating Officer of .NGO from 2016-2022. Shayan also serves as the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the Islamic Association of North Texas, one of the largest mosques and interfaith organizations in Texas.
