Biography

Vienna Flores Anaya is a seasoned bankruptcy and restructuring attorney in Jackson Walker’s Dallas office who has played key roles in some of the most significant Chapter 11 cases filed in recent years. She represents debtors, creditors, trustees, committees, landlords, and other parties in interest across a broad spectrum of restructuring and liquidation proceedings spanning the energy, entertainment, healthcare, retail, insurance, and telecommunications industries. Her extensive debtor-side experience gives her a unique and distinct advantage when representing other non-debtor parties in interest — she knows the inner workings of a bankruptcy case, what to expect at each stage, and what to look out for, making her an effective advocate regardless of which side of the table she sits on.

Vienna guides clients through every phase of complex Chapter 11 cases, Chapter 7 cases, and related bankruptcy litigation. She has significant experience in advising debtors, buyers, and creditors on all aspects of bankruptcy sales, plans of reorganization, liquidation plans, and disclosure statements.

Real estate and lease-related issues are a core strength of Vienna’s practice. She has restructured complex lease portfolios involving hundreds of locations nationwide, handling lease assumptions, rejections, and cure amount disputes. She also regularly counsels landlords and contract counterparties navigating tenant and counterparty bankruptcies, advising on lease or contract rejection damages, assumption and assignment rights, and strategies for protecting their interests throughout the bankruptcy process.

Vienna’s practice extends to post-confirmation matters as well. She has managed complex claims administration, preference litigation, fraudulent transfer litigation, wind-down proceedings, and post-emergence litigation for reorganized debtors, plan administrators, liquidating trustees, and creditors across multiple engagements.
