Jackson Walker is pleased to announce the selection of Jesse S. Lotay, Josué J. Galván, and Eric Wong to participate in two training programs offered by the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD).

“As a long-time participant in the LCLD’s programs, the Firm has seen a number of attorneys, including myself, who have had the distinct opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and build their professional networks through this diversity-focused organization,” said L. Suzan Kedron, chair of the Diversity & Inclusion Committee. “Jesse, Josué, and Eric are all high-performing attorneys who have demonstrated strong potential to step into leadership positions, which is a key area that our D&I Committee is focused on addressing. In March 2021, Jesse joins the Fellows Program, which focuses on high-potential attorneys from diverse backgrounds. The program will consist of class meetings, learning experiences, leadership lunches, and events facilitating professional development and networking opportunities. For the first time, the program will be conducted virtually. Upon completing the program, Fellows are eligible to join the Fellows Alumni Network to help plan and participate in CLE, mentoring, pro bono, and LCLD Member development programs.

Josué and Eric will begin their participation in the Pathfinder Program in April 2021. The professional development series provides early-career diverse attorneys with foundational leadership skills, career development strategies, and tips on building professional networks and relationships. Throughout the program, Pathfinders will attend two virtual class meetings, one regional virtual meeting, e-Modules, Compass Conversations, and meetings with peer circles and a program facilitator. Like the Fellows Program, the Pathfinder Program will be held virtually.

Formed in 2009, the LCLD is an organization of more than 275 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners dedicated to creating a truly diverse legal profession. The LCLD’s action programs, which span the journey from law school to partnership, are designed to attract, inspire, and nurture talent in society and within its organizations, thereby helping a new and more diverse generation of attorneys rise to positions of leadership.
