Veteran M&A Attorneys Lidji & Hooper Join Jackson Walker

Jackson Walker is pleased to announce the addition of Brian M. Lidji and Kyle C. Hooper as partners in the Dallas office. Brian and Kyle are widely recognized as two of the leading mergers and acquisitions attorneys in Texas and throughout the Southwest, and they bring their experience closing billions of dollars of transactions to the Firm’s Chambers-ranked Corporate & Securities practice.

Brian LidjiMeet Brian

Brian Lidji has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, business law, contract negotiations, and a wide variety of business transactions for emerging and middle-market companies. He has earned significant praise for his ability to find insightful, practical solutions for his prestigious business clients.

Brian has represented clients in transactions ranked by Texas Lawyer on their annual top 10 deals list, including representing Hunt Petroleum Corporation in its multibillion-dollar sale to XTO Energy, and working with Kyle to represent Hotels.com in its merger with InterActive Corp. Brian also represents Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits as well as Glazer’s Beer & Beverage. He advised Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Real Estate on its recently announced joint venture with Peerage Capital.

Outside of his practice, Brian has served on the Executive Board of the SMU Dedman School of Law since 1995. He has been a director of  the Texas Business Law Foundation and a director and officer of the Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas. He is a recipient of the Anti-Defamation League’s Schoenbrun Award, presented to a legal professional committed to fair and equal justice for all.

Brian earned his B.A. in philosophy, with honors, from Hofstra University and his J.D., cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the SMU Law Review.

Kyle HooperMeet Kyle

Kyle Hooper represents clients in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, and he also provides guidance on corporate, partnership, and individual taxation issues at both the federal and state levels. Kyle’s general corporate practice includes counseling companies on issues relating to business structuring, corporate governance, contracts, and financings. Additionally, Kyle assists clients in the formation and growth of alternative business entities such as limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and S-corporations.

On the decision to join Jackson Walker, Kyle said, “Brian and I have been fortunate to have amazing, loyal clients. Jackson Walker’s deep experience in areas such as energy, real estate, employment, and tax and wealth planning will enable us to expand our service to our clients.”

Kyle has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in Thomson Reuters’ Super Lawyers – Rising Stars and was recently recognized as a 2021 Texas Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters and Texas Monthly.

Outside of his practice, he has been active in the American Bar Association, Dallas Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, and the Texas Business Law Foundation.

Kyle received his B.B.A. in Accounting and a Masters of Taxation from Baylor University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Baylor School of Law, where he also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Baylor Law Review.
