Biography
Rob McCutchan is a seasoned transactional lawyer with over twenty-five years of experience helping clients invest, grow and navigate complex and important commercial and financial issues. Companies, banks, funds and other institutional investors regularly rely on Rob to assist with their investment, acquisition, disposition, financing, recapitalization and restructuring needs and value his ability to identify and resolve material issues in a creative, efficient and collaborative manner. Rob has expertise addressing commercial and legal issues that effect a wide variety of industries and brings a practical and business-savvy approach to both the board room and closing table. Over the course of his long career, Rob has served as general, special and local outside counsel and has represented lenders and borrowers, buyers and sellers and investors and investees, and he uses this experience to help his clients approach issues and transactions strategically and efficiently. Rob is currently a member of the Jackson Walker Corporate & Securities and Finance & Banking Practice Groups and its Entertainment, Digital & Sports Marketing Group.
Rob is a long-time resident of Dallas, Texas and member of the Dallas and Texas Bar Associations and is a proud graduate of Jesuit High School and Princeton University, where he was a member of the Varsity baseball team. Rob returned to Dallas following his graduation from The University of Texas School of Law and has been an active member of its civic and business communities since that time.
Rob is married to Skye Smith and is the proud father of two daughters, one son and two dogs. As a former college athlete and life-long sports fan, Rob spends much of his free time roaming various sidelines and riverbanks in support of his children and is an active member of the Dallas lacrosse community. He also serves as Legal Counsel and non-voting member of the Board of Directors of World Lacrosse – the international governing body of Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse.
