February 19, 2020 | Client Results

Blue River Partners, an industry leading U.S. provider of outsourced solutions to alternative asset managers, announced its acquisition by IQ-EQ, a top-four global investor services firm, on February 18, 2020. A Jackson Walker team led by Cale McDowell, Rony Kishinevsky and Cade Satterfield advised Blue River Partners in the transaction.

Through this strategic combination, IQ-EQ will be transformed into a major player in the U.S. private equity and hedge fund services market by incorporating the existing Blue River platform, which includes approximately 180 team members across seven U.S. offices, servicing more than 400 clients with combined assets under management of over $1.3 trillion.

IQ-EQ’s worldwide platform combined with Blue River’s broad service offering creates one of the leading alternative fund administration and outsourced services providers in the U.S. and the world.

“As we met with the management team of IQ-EQ, it quickly became apparent that our two firms take the same approach to business – hiring teams of very talented, experienced professionals and providing exceptional client service,” Mark Fordyce, Chief Executive Officer and founding partner of Blue River, said in a statement.

Cale added: “We are honored to represent our client Blue River Partners in this transaction. Our work with the Blue River team offers yet another example of the depth and breadth of Jackson Walker’s experience in the private equity space.”

Under the leadership of Cale McDowell, Rony Kishinevsky and Cade Satterfield, the Jackson Walker team included Argyrios C. Saccopoulos, Ronald D. Kerridge, Chuck Campbell, Meredith Silliman, Raman N. Dewan, Alicia R. Duleba, Steven R. Jacobs, and Ann M. Leafstedt among others. Jackson Walker’s Globalaw affiliate firm Molitor provided guidance on matters related to Luxembourg law.
