Jackson Walker Represents Texas Utility Engineering in Strategic Partnership

Jackson Walker advised Texas Utility Engineering in the sale of its business to EN Engineering, a private equity-backed national engineering firm. The details of the transaction were not disclosed.

Based in San Antonio, Texas Utility Engineering (TXUE) offers a complete review and analysis of pole loading, pole auditing, pole inspections, aerial and underground electric distribution planning, telecommunications distribution planning, make-ready engineering planning, OSP engineering, pole attachment applications, and city and state permitting.

Through this strategic partnership, TXUE expands its reach within the region and nationwide while expanding EN Engineering’s Utilities practice to more than 650 employees offering a full complement of gas distribution and electric transmission and distribution services.

In a news release, Steve Knowles, Chief Executive Officer of EN Engineering, said, “TXUE is a leading expert on all aspects of electric distribution poles in Central and South Texas, with the ability to provide unmatched value to its utility and telecom customers. Texas is one of the fastest growing states, and we are excited about working together with the strong team at TXUE as they look to further expand in the region.”
