November 19, 2021 | Client Results

A Jackson Walker team led by recent Fort Worth additions Evan Malloy, Kayla Matus, and Taylor Cummins represented Freedom Powersports in the sale of its business to Dallas-based RumbleON, Inc., the largest U.S. retailer of powersports vehicles. The transaction was announced on November 9, 2021, and is expected to close in late 2021 or the first quarter of 2022. Additional details regarding the transaction are available through RumbleON’s public press release.

Through its acquisition of Freedom Powersports, RumbleON will expand its presence in Texas, enter Georgia and Alabama, and increase the number of its retail locations to over 55.

“We are excited to have worked with the Freedom Powersports team on this transformative sale transaction,” said Evan Malloy. “Kayla, Taylor, and I are happy to have hit the ground running after joining Jackson Walker in early October. This was a complex deal, and we are grateful for the support of our new colleagues from around the Firm to bring this deal to signing on an extremely short timeframe.”

In addition to Evan, Kayla, and Taylor, the Jackson Walker team included Michael F. Meskill, Cade Satterfield, and Rony Kishinevsky, who served as special advisors to one of the equityholders of Freedom Powersports. Greta E. Cowart, Raman N. Dewan, Joel W. Heydenburk, John M. Jackson, Ronald D. Kerridge, Ann M. Leafstedt, Shari Y. Mao, Jay K. Rutherford, and Peter K. Wahl also provided extensive support in their respective areas of experience.
